The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency and the Wahkiakum County Department of Emergency Management are offering Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) in the Rosburg/Naselle area.
The classes on February 20 and 21, will be held at the Naselle Timberland Library, 4 Parpala Road, Naselle. The classes on February 27 and 28 will be held at Johnson Park, 30 Rosburg School Road, Rosburg. Training is scheduled as follows:
The Naselle classes will run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Rosburg classes will run, February 2, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, and February 28, 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Pre-registration is required and attendance is limited to 20 participants.
The CERT program is an all-risk, all-hazard training. This course is designed to help people protect themselves and their families, neighbors and neighborhoods in an emergency situation.
CERT members receive 20 hours of initial training with an option of additional instruction on modules relating to pet preparedness training and Map Your Neighborhood training provided free of charge. The course is taught with classroom instruction for the first three days and practical exercises during the last day.
Participants under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian permission to attend.
