The Wahkiakum Mules boys basketball team turned up the heat in the final quarter in Friday's home game against the Adna Pirates, but it was just too late. Despite a gallant effort the boys lost to Adna 69-55.
Joey Moore scored 16 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter. Ryan Quigley finished the game with 14 points. Brothers Zach and Luke Brown had six points each and Hank Ferguson added five.

The Mules traveled to Pe Ell on Wednesday, after The Eagle had gone to press.
Their next home game is on Friday against Winlock.
