Last week the Wahkiakum Mules girls basketball team split games with Central League teams. They are in third place in league play with a record of 6-2, 7-3 overall.
On January 6, the team traveled to Onalaska and lost 49-52.
Peyton Souvenir and Macie Elliot led scoring with 17 points each. Souvenir added six rebounds, six assists and seven steals. M. Elliott had eight rebounds. Savannah Burdick had nine points and five rebounds. Maddy Mace and Sydney Hansen pitched in three points apiece.

Last Friday, the team took it to Toledo and came away with an easy win, 62-44.
M. Elliott led the team with 24 points, followed closely by Souvenir, who had 22. M. Elliott also had five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Souvenir pulled down nine rebounds and had seven assists and seven steals. Burdick had nine points, Mace had three, and Peacock and Ellie Leitz added two more each.
“We played well tonight,” Coach Rob Garrett said. “We pushed the pace and had better defensive rotation. I was really happy with our performance.”

The Lady Mules played at home against Toutle Lake last night (Wednesday). The game report was not available in time for press.
The team returns to the road to play Adna tonight and again next Tuesday to face Pe Ell.
