Bettie J. Venable

Bettie Jane Venable, 69, died January 9, 2016 at her Cathlamet home. She was born March 16, 1946 in Houston, Ark., to George and Lucelle (Porter) Venable.

She was a loving and caring homemaker who enjoyed baking, spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs, and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, a son and a daughter.

Survivors include Sons Tim Madewell (Darla) of Cathlamet and Guy Davis (Mendy) of Newberg, Ore .; daughter Pam Bailey of San Antonio, Tex .; brothers Bud Venable (Ellie) of Dundee, Ore., Richard Venable of Little Rock, Ark., Joe Venable (Robin) of Battle Ground, Wash., and George Venable of Dumas Ark .; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Viewing will take place at River of Life Assembly of God Church, 45 Main St., Cathlamet at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 16. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
