Who gets Grandma's yellow plate?

On January 21 from noon to 1 p.m., Attorney Chris Roubicek, of Castle Rock, will talk about the transfer of non-titled property. Estate planning often focuses on farms or family business transfers. Too often, personal possessions doesn’t get discussed.

Non-titled property can include furniture, photos, books, dishes, tools and jewelry. Many people have fond memories of family keepsakes and they carry more meaning and can have long-lasting emotional effects.

Consider attending to learn more about decision options, including initiating discussions, determining distribution options and setting ground rules for transferring non-titled property.

This program, sponsored by Washington State University Extension will be held for free at the Cowlitz Co. Administration Building, Room 300, 207 4th Ave North, Kelso. For more information, contact Gary Fredricks at 577-3014 Ext 3 or garyf@wsu.edu.
