On Tuesday, the Mules had a tough night on offense against Onalaska and lost, 51-22.

Quigley scored 13 points and had six rebounds. Z. Brown had nine points, six rebounds and four steals.

"Tonight was one of our better efforts on the boards," Coach Todd Souvenir said. "Unfortunately we couldn't combine that effort with a good shooting night. We were able to get some good looks against their defense but couldn't get anything to drop."

The Mules shot 24 percent from the floor and 25 percent from the free throw line.

Reporter's comment: I've watched a lot of basketball over the years and I'm lucky enough to cover these games. The Mules current record of 0-6 in league does not even begin to tell their story. It is a pleasure to watch them grow as ball players and as young men. Their very characters are on display as they go out each game night and struggle within themselves and as a team to get that win that is always just out of reach. Senior Joey Moore, all heart, sacrifices his body over and over to make the play, a thrilling thing to watch. Junior Hank Ferguson provides a quiet and invaluable leadership to the team, and there are nights when he is unstoppable. Senior Ryan Quigley has quietly begun to exhibit the talent that has always been there and I find myself pleased to see he's scored double digits again and again. Freshman James Anderson did something last Wednesday that put a smile on my face. He started shooting the ball. And good grief, don't even get me started on sophomore Zach Brown and his hook shot.

I'm not the least bit disappointed in them. I don't think you will be either. Consider bringing your Mule pride to support this team this season. Win or lose, they are ours and they are worth it.
