Cristobal Mendez

Cristobal Peña Mendez, 65, of Cathlamet, died on December 21, 2015 at home on Puget Island.

Cris was born on September 4, 1950 in Mexico. He worked as a carpenter and later on farms on Puget Island. He was a handy and creative man and his family remembers that there was never a job he couldn’t do. He was a loving, hard working and compassionate family man.

He is survived by his wife Angela at home, three sons, Lorenzo, Frankie and Christopher Mendez; two daughters, Esther Cothren and Cristina Mendez; 19 grandchildren and a large extended family in Mexico. He leaves behind many friends and was preceded in death by his son Nabor Mendez.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 3 at 1:30 p.m., at River of Life Assembly of God Church in Cathlamet. with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
