Forsberg celebrates 101st

Former Grays River resident Harold Forsberg celebrated his 101st birthday December 10 at home with his family, daughters Ruby and Mary, and son Roy.

Harold was a Seabee in the US Navy in World War II. Seabees cleared places on Pacific Ocean islands for troops and planes to land.

Harold was raised in Grays River, the stepson of Birger Olsen. He moved to Portland after retiring from the Navy and now lives with his son in Coquille, Ore.
