Tigers tame Mules

Wahkiakum Mule senior Joey Moore spent so much time on the floor in last Thursday's game against Napavine that someone should give him an honorary floorboard if the court is ever replaced. Unfortunately, his bloody knees and assured bruises weren't enough to make up for the damage done by the Tiger's Wyatt Stanley.

Stanley, a big physical player, put his head down and scored 29 of his 37 points in the second half, and the Tigers won 77-64.

Ryan Quigley, who has turned out to be a consistent scorer for the Mules this year, finished the game with 24 points, 16 of which were from behind the arc. Zach Brown added 20 points, Hank Ferguson scored 11 and Moore had nine points.

The Mules were seven for 11 from the free throw line, shooting 64 percent. They shot 45 percent from the floor.

The Mules travel to Naselle on Thursday, December 30, for a rematch against the Comets. The Mules beat Naselle the first time around.
