Sheriff's Report, December 3, 2015

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

November 23 — 11:06 a.m. A caller reported that a neighbor’s horses had gotten loose in the Skamokawa area. 3:44 p.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a Deep River resident.

November 24 — 9:32 a.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a Grays River resident complaining of back pain. 10:43 a.m. A caller reported a speeding vehicle on a Puget Island road. 1:26 p.m. A caller reported that someone had vandalized a shed and other property at his Puget Island home.

November 25 — 2:38 p.m. A caller reported that an individual had violated a no contact order. 3:56 p.m. Washington State Patrol requested assistance while taking an individual into custody. 10:36 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident.

November 26 — 12:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was having trouble breathing. 9:24 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who was complaining of pain in his legs.

November 27 — 9:31 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a vehicle sliding off a roadway in the Rosedale area. 10:06 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported vandalism and a burglary at his home. 1:58 p.m. A vehicle hit a deer on SR 4 just west of County Line Park. 4:03 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded to the report of smoke seen on Puget Island. 6:38 p.m. A warrant was served to a Rosedale resident. 7:24 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was bleeding internally. 9:52 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported hearing shots fired.

November 28 — 12:15 p.m. State patrol, a deputy and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to the report of a rollover accident on SR 4 just east of County Line Park. The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office was notified. 4:14 p.m. A Cathlamet resident requested assistance in recovering a chainsaw from a family member who would not return it. He was advised that it was a civil matter and that the sheriff’s office could not assist without an order from the court. 4:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was having a problem with her jaw. 4:39 p.m. A caller reported that a water truck heading east on SR 4 in the Deep River area was leaking water. 6:19 p.m. A caller reported that an individual had been bothering him at his home. 8:45 p.m. A caller reported a dispute at a Rosedale residence. 11:23 p.m. A caller reported a disabled vehicle on SR 4 in the Elochoman Valley area. 11:49 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported that a neighbor was playing his music so loud it was shaking his house.

November 29 — 10:55 a.m. The District 4 Fire Department responded when a caller reported that a tree had knocked power lines onto an Elochoman Valley home. The PUD was notified. 12:19 p.m. A caller reported finding a lot of litter on a Skamokawa road. A deputy investigated. 3:48 p.m. Two callers reported an erratic driver on SR 4 in the Elochoman Valley area. The driver was stopped and taken into custody.

November 30 — 12:16 a.m. An individual reported that friends had been stopped by police when they were taking a vehicle that she had recently purchased to a mechanic. She was having a hard time contacting the people and did not know where the vehicle was. 3:20 a.m. A medical alarm was activated at an Elochoman Valley residence. The Cathlamet ambulance attempted to make contact but were unable to do so.
