Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

AmeriCorps volunteer gives thanks

To The Eagle:

I have been working and doing my AmeriCorps service at the Community Center since September 16 and it has been a joy to be in this community. I feel so much a part of Cathlamet and Wahkiakum County.

On Saturday, November 28, the Community Center had the pleasure of hosting Santa Claus which was wonderful, but I could not have done this without the help and donations of people and businesses from the community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following businesses for their donations of goods and services: The Campbell Group for the beautiful Noble Christmas tree, Shannon at the Chamber for her support and the use of the Santa chair, Erla Crouse at Waterway Espresso for making chocolate chip cookies, Hannah Booth for financial donation, Columbia River Ranch for coffee, cocoa and gift bag donations, also a big thank you to Duncan from Town of Cathlamet and Trevor the electrician for getting the electric outlet done for the outside lights. I would also like to thank all the community members who helped make it a success and for their willingness to embrace the change from previous years. I look forward to next year.
