County, port district schedule special meetings this week

The boards of commissioners of Port District 1 and Wahkiakum County will hold special meetings this week.

The Port 1 commission will meet at 3 p.m. Friday in the port office at the Elochoman Slough Marina. According to a meeting notice, the meeting agenda includes "considering options for dredge spoils placement, use of public property, and any other matters that may come before the board."

The county commission will meet Monday, 9:30 a.m., in the commission's meeting room to hold a public hearing on the county's 2016 budgets, with possible action to occur after the hearing.
