Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Local kids and parents crowded the Bank of the Pacific lobby to compete for first, second and third place in each age group in the annual Neewollah Day costume contest. Some were terribly shy but a few got into character. The results will be posted in next week's edition of The Eagle.
At the fairgrounds in Skamokawa, kids and parents were lined up for the haunted house and the carnival in the Youth Building was in full swing, but quiet, during the 5 o'clock hour. There were dozens of prize cakes waiting for the next round of the cake walk, and children were busy making Halloween art or trying to win prizes.
