William D. Potter

William Dean Potter was born November 6, 1941, in Paris, Missouri, and passed away September 13, 2015, at home in Grays River, Washington.

William, known to most as simply “Potter,” was in the United States Army and National Guard for 20 years. While in the National Guard, he was top recruiter for eight years.

Potter taught cooking for over 25 years and helped do food preparation for the Rosburg Senior Lunch program, which his wife runs.

Potter and his wife, Pat, bought the second oldest house in Grays River, Washington, and Potter enjoyed remodeling it. He was proud of the result.

Potter is survived by his wife, Pat Potter of Grays River, Washington; two sisters, Iola Meeks of Centralia, Missouri and Martha Jordan of Oak Grove, Missouri; two step-children, two granddaughters and one grandson.

There will be no services.
