Jane Anderson Younger

Jane Anderson Younger, 88 of Eugene, passed away on September 17, 2015. She was born in Skamokawa, Washington to Albert and Della (Lytsell) Anderson on June 18, 1927. Jane received her education in the Washington school system and was a 1945 graduate of Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet.

In 1952 Jane left for a four year stay in Wisconsin, she moved to Eugene in 1956 and became a lifetime resident. She met Jack J. Younger and on October 18, 1959 they married. The union was to last 43 years until Jack passed away in 2002.

Jane was a homemaker but also worked as an administrative assistant for the U of O Library for 28 years until her retirement in 1990. Besides work, many hours were spent in the garden, traveling, and cooking. Yet, her greatest joy was time spent with grand and great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren.

Jane is survived by her daughter Linda Masters of Tacoma, Washington, 4 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her brother Orville; who passed at age six.
