The Wahkiakum Mules Volleyball team won a tournament over the weekend and added to their win column on Tuesday, bringing their record to 3-0 and getting off to a good start for the 2015 season.
The Lady Mules traveled to Morton/White Pass on Tuesday and beat the Timberwolves handily in three sets to take the match, 25-21, 25-14 and 25-12.
"We started a little slow after the long road trip but came around by the second set," Coach Kayli Hurley said. "Standouts were Macie Elliott and Grace Peacock with strong work at the net and three kills apiece. Tyra Elliott and Savannah Burdick had six digs apiece with Burdick pitching in a couple kills and T. Elliott with 100 percent serving and five aces on the night."
No details were available for the Mossyrock Invitational Tournament, which was held over the weekend.
The Mules will travel to Onalaska today (Thursday). Their next home match is next Tuesday against Winlock, when only the varsity team will play. Play will begin at 6 p.m.
