Cookin’ Country announces acoustic concert to be held

Cookin’ Country 105.5, KUKN has scheduled their next New Faces Acoustic Concert at the Columbia Theatre for Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m. Blaster Records Nashville’s James Otto will perform.

“We have teamed up with the biggest record labels in Nashville to bring the stars to Longview for an up-close and personal acoustic show. People will not only be able to see the stars perform live, but will also be able to meet them after the show. James Otto isn’t really a new face, he’s already had a gold record and a #1 song, but he’s got a brand new album and hit single on the radio right now,” said KUKN General Manager/Program Director John Paul.

James Otto was born at Fort Lewis and grew up in Benton City. He first took up singing at age two and later learned to play violin and saxophone. He learned to play guitar at the age of 13. In 1998 he moved to Nashville and began attending songwriters’ nights there; three years later he joined the MuzikMafia, a group of country music songwriters which includes Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson and was signed to Mercury Records. Otto earned a gold record for his #1 song “Just Got Started Lovin’ You.” In June, 2015 Otto signed with Blaster Records and “Somewhere Tonight” is his current single climbing the charts.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The are available at Bob’s Sporting Goods in Longview, online at http://www.kukn.com or call 575-TIXX. For more background information on Otto go to http://www.jamesotto.net.
