Chamber seeing chili/chowder cooks

Do you make the best chili? Do you make the best chowder? Come prove it! Pack up and plan to spend a day near the River Mile 38 Brewery at the Elochoman Slough Marina in Cathlamet. The event takes place September 5 and will be in conjunction with the Wooden Boat Show.

This year the competition will run in a tournament-style bracket in which the people and their popular vote will decide which chili and which chowder moves forward through the rounds. Cooking begins at 10 a.m. and the $7 public tasting will begin at 1 p.m.
