Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
To The Eagle:
So, you are privileged to live in the Pacific Northwest, in cute little Cathamet, and are a resident (or perhaps not) of beautiful Puget Island. You are also privileged to have a recycle station provided for your use in this wonderful area.
So I am perplexed as to why you have decided that you are also privileged to leave your cardboard etc., on the ground, next to the bins when they are full. I don't recall seeing a sign that says "Please feel free to leave items that will not fit into the bins on the ground. We will be happy to pick them up and take them away for you." Signed: The wonderful people who pick up your recyclables. After all, they should pick up after you. Have they nothing better to do with their time? And, you probably feel you deserve it.
I would like to suggest that you, a) leave your address with The Eagle so I can come and pick up your "stuff" and leave it in your front yard, or b) load your family in the car, drive to the recycle lot and have your picture taken in front of the "stuff" you left - because (as you know) we all enjoy having our picture taken when we have done something we are proud of. Good grief! Have some pride. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
