The second annual Senior Citizens Prom will be held Tuesday, September 29 at the Elks Club, 900 Ash St, in Kelso.
Live big band music will be provided by the Providence Hospital Stage Band, sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington, Elks USA, Rely Local, Grounds for Opportunity and Lower Columbia CAP.
The Wahkiakum on the Move bus service will provide free transportation to and from the event. Pick up will be at 4:30 p.m. at Strong Park and 4:45 p.m. at Eagle Point with drop off at 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively. The bus arrives at 8 p.m. for evening return.
Dessert and coffee begin at 6 p.m. with live music and dancing from 7-9 p.m.
A raffle will be held with grand prizes awarded to four couples. The prizes include prom night dinner, admission to the prom and door to door transportation by Rely Local Trolley. Tickets for the raffle are $1 and purchasers are eligible to win door prizes.
Prom tickets are $10 per person and are available for purchase at CAP, 1526 Commerce Ave., in Longview.
