Fundraiser planned for accident victim

Grant and Ashley Turner were on vacation in California last week when Grant was seriously injured in a terrible diving accident. He is currently in a hospital there, and is not expected to be able to come closer to home for a few months.

Family and friends are asking the community to pull together and help this young couple with expenses. There will be a booth on Main Street during Bald Eagle Days where people may buy raffle tickets for a split the pot entry or a separate drawing for a camping basket.

In addition, there has been an account opened at Bank of the Pacific to receive donations. Donations will go to Grant’s care and Ashley’s living expenses and may be mailed to PO Box 337, Cathlamet, WA 98612 or brought into any branch of the bank.
