Juvenile charged with theft, possession

Christian “CJ” Lorenzo, 17, was arrested on March 20, 2015 for his involvement in the theft of chickens from a Puget Island residence and the subsequent sale of the chickens at a Woodland auction house.

Lorenzo was also being held for the theft of a firearm, for a stolen laptop found in his home, and for possession of a controlled substance. Lorenzo was in court for a bench trial with Judge Michael Sullivan on June 24 and June 29.

According to court documents, Lorenzo was found guilty on four of five counts, burglary in the second degree, trafficking in stolen property in the first degree, unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree and possession of a controlled substance. He was found not guilty for the theft of a firearm.

Judge Michael Sullivan wanted more time to consider a sixth count and was scheduled to rule on the matter Wednesday as The Eagle was being printed. Sentencing will follow.

Lorenzo remains in the custody of Cowlitz County Juvenile Court.
