Nearshore halibut fishing open in Marine Area 1

The nearshore recreational halibut fishery in Marine Area 1 (Ilwaco) is extended from three days per week to seven days per week effective June 15 until further notice.

There is sufficient quota set aside for the nearshore recreational Pacific halibut fishery in Marine Area 1 to extend the days per week that the fishery is open. This rule conforms to federal action taken by the National Marine Fisheries Service and the International Pacific Halibut Commission.
