School year ending; blood drive Wednesday

News from Naselle:

Tomorrow (Friday) will be the last day of school and students will be released at 10:30 a.m. to begin their summer vacation. Have a wonderful and safe summer everyone.

The Naselle-Grays River Valley School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, the 16th at 6:30 p.m. This is a public meeting.

ESA Alpha Theta will hold a garage sale June 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1124 SR 4, milepost 7, Naselle. It is a multi family sale and includes lots of clothing for children.

The Appelo Archive Center will host an open house reception on June 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in honor of the center’s 10th anniversary.

Westend news:

The next blood drive for the west end will take place next Wednesday at the Valley Bible Church. Appointment times are filling up fast, but I understand walk ins are also welcomed. This is really a fun group to be involved with, and you can win prizes and enjoy a delicious slider while you are doing a heroic deed by donating a lifesaving gift. If you would like to make an appointment to donate, or need more information please call Susan Burkhalter at 465-2264.

After a delay of several months the Grays River Valley Center at Johnson Park is finally holding its first Exercise and Fitness Meeting in the exercise room on June 27 at 3 p.m. Everyone interested in the topic of health, fitness and the use of the exercise room at the GRVC is invited to attend.

The donor of some of the gym quality equipment is Fred Lehr, and he is hoping to get a group going on a regular basis, with like minded goals, a healthy outlook on life and learn some safe techniques and how to maintain the equipment. Here is your opportunity.

The Rosburg Wednesday Senior Lunch Bunch meets at the Rosburg Hall each week for a home cooked meal prepared and served by Pat Potter and her volunteer crew.

On Thursdays, CAP also sponsors a senior lunch at the same location. Meals are served at noon on both days,
