May 26 — 3:26 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was experiencing numbness in an arm and discomfort in her jaw.
May 27 — 11:06 a.m. A tow truck was called after a vehicle got stuck in a creek in the Elochoman Valley. 11:10 a.m. A caller requested the removal of a vehicle that had been parked in a Cathlamet parking lot for four days. 2:03 p.m. A caller reported a knife at a Cathlamet school. 4:10 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a Cathlamet mother and her children after hearing that they were being held hostage. 8:46 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a toddler who had burned his arm with a pot of oatmeal.
May 28 — 12:27 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that her computer had been stolen. 1:15 a.m. A caller requested deputy assistance to help a mother and her children safely leave a Cathlamet residence. 3:06 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that he had been assaulted when someone broke into his home and stole his wallet. 8:33 a.m. A caller reported that a power line was down on the side of an Elochoman Valley road. The PUD was notified. 12:20 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who was incoherent. 12:24 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported that he had been threatened. 4:56 p.m. A caller reported that shots had been fired at the Health and Human Services campus in the Elochoman Valley. A deputy searched for the shooter after finding shotgun pellets in the parking lot. 5:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident with chest pain. 5:48 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported hearing shots fired from a shotgun. 7:51 p.m. A caller reported an erratic driver heading east on SR 4 just west of County Line Park.
May 29 — 9:36 a.m. A student was reported to have punched another student in the face at a Cathlamet school. 12:18 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance transported a clinic patient with respiratory problems to the hospital. 12:45 p.m. An individual was detained after deputies conducted an authorized search at an Elochoman Valley residence. 12:47 p.m. Health and Human Services requested a deputy for a civil standby while a individual collected personal items. 3:01 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on an elderly Rosburg resident. 4:20 p.m. A caller reported that a driver had struck a deer on an Elochoman Valley road, got out to look at it and then took off. The county road department was notified. 4:32 p.m. A caller reported three suspicious men on a beach near Skamokawa. 8:47 p.m. A Rosedale business was concerned about two $20 bills that appeared to be counterfeit. 11:31 p.m. A welfare check was requested for a security guard who was unreachable at the fairgrounds in Skamokawa. A deputy made contact with the guard.
May 30 — 8:15 p.m. Deputies and the Cathlamet Fire Department responded to the report of a brush fire on Puget Island. They found an abandoned vehicle in flames and were able to put it out. 9:29 p.m. A caller complained about a vehicle that had been parked in the Department of Fish and Wildlife parking lot in the Elochoman Valley all day. A deputy investigated and determined that the vehicle belonged to a District 4 firefighter. 9:35 p.m. A caller reported an accident involving a fire truck on Puget Island. 11:22 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported that a neighbor had been screaming and threatening to kill someone’s dog. A deputy made contact with the woman. She was upset about an earlier vehicle fire.
May 31 — 1:36 p.m. A caller alerted the sheriff’s department to trees that were in danger of falling onto SR 4 near Nassa Point.
June 1 — 3:17 a.m. A Puget Island resident who was concerned about thefts reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.
