Assuming battalion command

Lt. Colonel Duane C. Forsberg today (Thursday) took over command of US Marine Corps Combat Logistics Battalion 1 in a ceremony at Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Lt. Col. Forsberg is the son of Dale and Stephanie Forsberg of Cathlamet. He entered USMC Active Reserve while in high school and has been in active duty since graduating from high school in Dallas, Ore., in 1996.

The battalion will be deployed in Iraq; it will be Lt. Col. Forsberg's fourth deployment there.
