Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Knappton Cove Heritage Center will be open May 23 for a program, "How Cholera Impacted the Need for a Columbia River Quarantine Station."
There will also be displays, and refreshments will be served.
The center will be open 1-4 p.m. It is located three miles upriver from the Washington side of Astoria/Megler Bridge.
