Webinar, workshop set

Persons interested in business management or economic development may participate in events later this month.

The state Department of Revenue is offering a free webinar April 21, 10-11 a.m. for business owners.

Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. During the webinar, the facilitator will answer specific questions related to your business.

On April 22, the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce will host a free workshop on economic development. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the Skamokawa Resort Conference Center.

Topics will include tourism, economic development, business promotion, and community development. Presenter will be Sandi Benbrook Rieder, Ph. D, vice-president of the Chamber.
