Economic development workshop to be held

The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce will hold a free workshop titled Economic Development 101 and all community members are welcome to attend. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 22 at 5:30 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.

Join the Chamber at the Skamokawa Resort Conference Center to discuss tourism, business, economic development, promotion, and overall community development in Wahkiakum County.

The workshop will be presented by the Wahkiakum Chamber’s Vice President, Sandi Benbrook Rieder, PhD., who has vast experience in economic development and community development. She will discuss the value of tourism and promotion in our community, why community development is important and necessary, the value of our local Chamber of Commerce, and much more.
