White Tail Run set for May 16

The 31st Great White Tail Run will be held May 16 on the Julia Butler Hansen National Wildlife Refuge located in Skamokawa.

The event, featuring a 10K, 5K or 2 mile course, starts at 10 a.m., with day of registration and packet pickup beginning at 8:30 at Skamokawa Vista Park.

Registration fees: Pre run $10 without a shirt, $20 with a shirt. Run day $12 without a shirt and $20 with a shirt. Add $1 if you are bringing your dog and want to compete for an award in this division. Family or youth group discount: First two entries of immediate family/group regular price, each additional entry is $3 off regular price. To guarantee a shirt, have entries in by May 1. Mail-in entries need to be received by May 15.

Recognition will be given for the overall male and female winner in each event with ribbons for the top three finishers in each age group.

This event is a fundraiser for the Wahkiakum County based 4-H programs and all proceeds will be used to benefit the county program.
