Astoria Head Start holding art show

The Astoria Head Start Parent Group in collaboration with Northwest Regional Educational School District will hold their 2nd Annual Early Childhood Art Show, “Art Through the Eyes of a Child,” on April 11, 4-7 p.m.

The show is an exhibit of mixed media by children 3 to 5 years old held in conjunction with Astoria's Second Saturday Art Walk, and with the month long celebration of “The Week of the Young Child” sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

This one night only art exhibit will help to raise awareness and much needed funds to support the importance of art in the early childhood education experience.

There are two locations for the show: Winnifred Byrne Luminari Arts, 1133 Commercial Street, and the Curious Caterpillar, 1184 Commercial Street.
