Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Student exhibit at Redmen
Hall set for March 28
The Wahkiakum Community, including the members of Friends of Skamokawa at Redmen Hall have become increasingly aware of a renewed energy in our school system. To celebrate this FOS will hold an exhibit of some of the award winning projects our county's students have been involved in.
Included in this will be Mrs Moonon's art students, Mrs. Merz's arts students, Mrs. Niemeyer's graphic arts students, Mr Hurley's Ag Science and Forestry students, and Mr Rooklidge's robotics students.
There will be demonstrations of the robotics projects and photographic display of a drone building project. Also included will be the art studies from those classes and log furniture and metal art for sale.
Friends of Skamokawa has long been dedicated to exhibiting the work of local students and the current exhibit provides shining examples of the students talent and hard work the teachers brought forth from them.
This exhibit will begin on Saturday, March 28, with demonstrations, teachers, and students available to answer questions. It will last through April 19, with another set of demonstrations on April 18 of the robotics project and drone building.
The Hall is open Thursday through Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m., and located at 1394 SR 4 in Skamokawa. There is no entrance fee but donations are encouraged. For further information contact Jill Hatier, 795-8675.
