Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Crab & Oyster Feed on Saturday March 14. This will be the 30th year for this event. The event will be held at the Norse Hall on Puget Island, just across the bridge from downtown Cathlamet.
The Crab & Oyster feed is a fundraising event for the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce. Funds raised at this event help to support Bald Eagle Days and the fireworks show that coincides in Cathlamet mid-July.
Due to the large amount of attendees, there will be three seating times for the Crab & Oyster Feed dinner. The first seating, at 3 p.m., will be for families and for individuals under the age of 21. There will be beer and wine served, but only upstairs where minors will not be allowed. The seating times at 5:15 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., will be for guests 21 and over as there will be beer and wine served upstairs and downstairs.
Tickets for the Crab & Oyster Feed are available at the Bank of the Pacific Cathlamet Branch. They can be contacted in person and also on the phone at 360-795-3228. Tickets are $32 per person.
Participants will be invited to join in a fun and exciting raffle with over 30 prizes donated from local businesses throughout Wahkiakum County and beyond. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event for $1.
As well as crab and oysters, there will be baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and fresh bread served. Attendees are asked to bring their own condiments and crab cracking tools. Attendees are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on the premises.
