Fundraising meals offer varied menus

Down River Dispatches

Even though we have had quite a bit of rain and wind, it looks like the warmer temperatures are telling the frogs to sing every night and the daffodils to bloom. I picked my first bouquet on Monday, and go to sleep each night to the frog songs. Ah, Spring is in the air.

With Valentine’s Day coming up this weekend, I hope everyone has a very special someone to spend it with. Remember, this is supposed to be a day to celebrate love, so be sure you give of yourself to those you care about, and just to be sure, throw a little of your love to someone else who could use some as well. It never hurts to spread good feelings around. Happy Valentine’s Day.

I am looking forward to another house guest this weekend, a dear friend that we haven’t seen for quite some time, Raven Webb. Raven will be here for a couple of days from Idaho with her daughter, Yolanda. It should be a good time to catch up and visit.

Update on my sister, Diane and her hip replacement: she has graduated to using a cane most of the time instead of the walker, lots more tough exercises to strengthen muscles she has been unable to use for several years, no more pain and is feeling great. Now to have the patience to make sure she doesn’t overdo it. Thank you, everyone for your kind thoughts, visits and support. We both appreciate it.
