Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The second annual free seed exchange will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Skamokawa Grange hall. Sponsored jointly by the Skamokawa Grange and WSU Extension, the event will feature free seeds and gardening information from local experts.
Participants are asked to bring viable seeds no older than two years, both seeds they have grown and seeds they have saved, as well as extras from commercial seed growers.
At 10:30 a.m., Carol Carver will offer information on the dos and don'ts of seed growing and saving. Several Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer questions.
