The Wahkiakum Mule boys basketball team couldn't warm up after the long Christmas break and lost to Onalaska at home on Tuesday, 30-38.

Joey Moore scrapped for his 11 points, one rebound, two assists and one block, driving in to score against much bigger players or hitting the open shot. Brandon Budd had a quiet night with only nine points, five rebounds, five steals and one block. Zach Brown and Ryan Quigley added five points apiece. Brown had 12 rebounds, one assist and one steal. Quigley had five rebounds and one block. Hank Ferguson had three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Cody Terpsma added one rebound.
The Mules shot 16 percent from three point range, and 29 percent from two point range. They did well from the free throw line, hitting seven out of nine for 78 percent.
The team travels to Toledo today and face Toutle Lake at home on Tuesday.
