Former resident celebrates 100 years of living

Harold Forsberg, formerly of Grays River, celebrated his 100th birthday in North Bend, Ore., on December 10. Several family members and friends were there to offer him their congratulations and best wishes.

Harold was born December 10, 1914 in South Bend. He was the stepson of Birger Olsen of Grays River. As a teenager, Harold worked for several of the farmers in the area, namely, the Klints, Oscar and Victor Larson, and Frank Badger. Harold’s nephew, Bruce Satterlund lives in Grays River.

Harold keeps busy tending his chickens and llamas on a small acreage in Coquille, Ore. He lives with his son, Roy.
