NHS volleyball, football teams in playoffs

The Naselle Comette Volleyball Team has been picked as the number one seed for the SW Washington District 1B Volleyball Tournament. The Comettes defeated the Washington School for the Deaf 25-11, 25-10, 25-15 on Tuesday.

The Comettes will travel to Black Hills High School, Olympia, to play Mary M. Knight at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 8th, in a winner-to-state semifinal. The Comettes have defeated the Lady Owls twice this season.

The state 1B, 2B and 1A Girls State Volleyball Championships will be November 14 and 15, in the Yakima Valley Sundome.

The Comet football team closed the season with a 42-38 loss to Taholah last Friday. The gridders will head to Oak Harbor on Saturday for a 1 p.m. playoff game with Lopez.
