Thanksgiving is just around the corner

To The Eagle:

The Lions Club is helping the Wahkiakum Food Bank again as it has for years, and the food bank and the people that receive the food surely are thankful and appreciate the food.

They will start picking up the food at 9 a.m. on November 8 at your doorstep, so please, have the food ready. If perhaps you do not have it ready, or you forgot, they will wait a short time. You can also bring it later at the food bank, 42 Elochoman Valley Road, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on that day.

If you would like to give a turkey (please) we would appreciate knowing by November 15 so we will know how many we will need to buy.

We had 130 or 133 last year and are expecting 150 this year.

With “The Good Lord’s” help and yours, we can serve them all and have a very good Thanksgiving.
