Weather spotter training offered October 22

The National Weather Service (NWS) will hold a weather spotter training class October 22, 7 p.m., in the Cathlamet Fire Hall, 255 2nd Street.

NWS welcomes volunteers with an interest in severe weather spotting. The SKYWARN™ program is a voluntary civic service. Reports made by spotters provide visual confirmation of potentially severe weather and aid forecasters in issuing warnings.
