The WSU Wahkiakum County 4-H Program will hold an Open House on Saturday, October 4 at the County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and learn about the 4-H Youth Development program.
Youth enrolled in the program will be present with their projects to demonstrate and visit with the public about their 4-H experiences.
4-H membership is open to all youth ages 5 and in kindergarten through 12th grade. The program has expanded way beyond “cows and cooking”. Projects are now available in robotics, entrepreneurship, citizenship, career education, shooting sports, photography and performing/theatre arts.
This event is part of the WSU sponsored Columbia River Country Days that ends with the fundraising dinner on the Grays River Covered Bridge Saturday evening. It also starts the new 4-H year and National 4-H Week.
