Workshop set on garlic, flower bulbs

On October 6 at 6:30 p.m., Master Gardeners will offer two presentations. Ruud van der Salm from Our American Roots, Van der Salm Farms, Inc., will talk about the planting and care of flower bulbs. Rudd will answer questions on how to get started, when to plant, and how to care for them so they become an annual delight.

Following his presentation, Master Gardner Billie Bevers will discuss how to raise garlic and demonstrate how and when to plant, what to plant and why, how to care for and harvest garlic.

The class will be held for free in the Fair Exposition located in Longview on the Cowlitz County fairgrounds. The workshop is sponsored by Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners.
