Fizz, Boom, Read!

Readers of all ages will explore all things scientific this summer as Cathlamet Public Library presents “Fizz Boom, Read!” during their summer library program.

The 2014 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, ages five through 14, with programs, prize drawings, storytimes, a reading club, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program.

Program activities will be held Wednesdays 1-2 p.m. at the library from July 2 to August 13.

July 2: R U Curious? -- Play With Your Food;

July 9: R U Curious? -- Grossology 101;

July 16: Fizz Boom Pop! -- Soda Pop Shenanigans;

July 23: Fizz Boom Pop! –- Mad Science Mixtures;

July 30: Science and the Arts –- Let Color Zoom;

Aug. 6: Techno Fun –- Come and Build It (bring small boxes to make into “robots”);

Aug. 13: It’s Alive! –- Nature Runs Wild.
