Adult cooking classes offered

WSU Wahkiakum County Extension is offering Cooking Matters, a series of hands-on cooking sessions for adults.

The classes run 10 a.m. to noon, June 18 through July 23, at the Wahkiakum Community Center on Main Street in Cathlamet, in the new space below the library.

The sessions will focus on budget friendly meals, healthy snacks, summer beverages and cooking with whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables.

Wahkiakum 4-H will provide activities for children of participants. There is no charge to participate, but pre-registration is appreciated. Call the Extension office at 795-3278, or email Suzie Whalen at whalens@co.wahkiakum.wa.us.
