Candidates file for office

The regular filing period for this year's elections ended Friday with no contested local races.

However races for US House of Representatives, the state legislature, and state courts all have contested elections.

Here's the lineup:

3RD CONGRESS DISTRICT

Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania, Thurston, Wahkiakum counties

U.S. Representative 2-year term: Bob Dingethal (prefers Democratic Party), Vancouver; JaimeHerrera Beutler (prefers Republican Party), Ridgefield; Michael Delavar (prefers Republican Party), Washougal.

19TH LEGISLATIVE DIST

Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Pacific, Wahkiakum counties

State Representative Pos. 1, 2-year term: Dean Takko (prefers Democratic Party); Longview; David A. Steenson, (prefers Libertarian Party), Longview.

State Representative Pos. 2, 2-year term: Hugh Fleet (prefers Republican Party), South Bend; Brian Blake (prefers Democratic Party), Aberdeen; James (Jimi) O'Hagan (no party preference), Grayland.

WAHKIAKUM COUNTY

Assessor, 4-year term: Bill Coons (prefers Independent Party), Cathlamet.
