Peacehealth St. John Medical Center will host its 2nd Annual E-Waste Recycling Event this coming Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the campus located at 600 Broadway in Longview.
People may bring obsolete electronics to the drop-off site, and a team of volunteers will collect them and ensure they are recycled responsibly.
PeaceHealth’s first e-cycling event last September resulted in the collection of more than 25,000 pounds of used electronics, all kept out of the landfill. The overwhelming response indicates the strong local need for this effort. In 2014 PeaceHealth is partnering with IMS Electronics Recycling of Vancouver, WA, who provides sustainable solutions for the management of e-waste.
