Incumbent local political office holders came out Monday to file for election to the offices that they hold.
The regular filing period runs through Friday of this week for positions that will be on the summer and fall election ballots.
Early filers included:
Partisan positions
County Commissioner District 3 (4-year term), Blair H. Brady incumbent; precincts--Skamokawa, Deep River, Grays River and Rosburg/Altoona.
Assessor (4-year term), Bill Coons incumbent.
Auditor (4-year term), Diane L. Tischer incumbent.
Clerk (4-year term), Kay Holland incumbent.
Prosecuting attorney (4-year term), filing fee $1,214.13, Daniel H. Bigelow incumbent.
Treasurer (4-year term), Tammy Peterson incumbent.
Sheriff (4-year term), Mark Howie incumbent.
Precinct committee person (2-year term), Elochoman precinct, Democrat, Hans York, incumbent.
Non-partisan position
Wahkiakum PUD Commissioner Position #1 (6-year term), Eugene Healy incumbent; precincts--Eastand West Puget Island and South Cathlamet.
Other positions hadn't drawn candidates as The Eagle went to press Wednesday morning. These included:
