Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Volunteers at the Community Garden at Erickson Park had their annual plant sale on Saturday. The proceeds allow volunteers to continue to provide fresh fruits and vegetables at area food banks and goes to general upkeep of the garden as well.
It was a successful event with a number of customers purchasing everything from wandering onion starts to strawberry plants. There were several master gardeners on hand for anyone who had questions.
There was so much stock left when the three hours ended that the group decided to do it again this weekend.
The Community Garden will have a second sale this Saturday from 10 to noon at Erickson Park.
