Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The 30th annual Great White Tail Run takes place on May 17 in Skamokawa at 10 a.m. The course of 10k, 5k, or 2 miles is through the Julia Butler Hansen National Refuge.
Recognition will be given for overall male and female winners in each event, and ribbons for the top three finishers in each age division.
The registration deadline to guarantee a shirt is May 2. Mail in entries need to be received by May 16. Day of run registration and packet pickup starts at 8:30 a.m. at Skamokawa Vista Park. Fees for pre-run registration without shirt $10 and $20 with shirt. Run Day $12 without shirt and $25 with shirt. Participants add $1 to bring a dog and compete for an award in this division. Family or youth group discount is the first two entries of immediate family/group regular price, each additional entry is $3 off regular price.
Official Dog Rules: Socialized dogs only. Dogs should be at least six months old with current vaccinations. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and stay on designated course. Female dogs in season are not permitted.
