The Wahkiakum Mule golf team, with a score of 218, suffered its first losses of the season to Willapa Valley, 191, and Northwest Christian, 210, while beating Raymond and South Bend, both incomplete, in the five team, intra-team match at NW Christian's home course at Hawks Prairie GC last Thursday.
With Brady LaBerge out sick, the short handed Mules had a tough day in the rainy event. Austin Good, 42, came in second in the 14 man field. Elliot Haney, 49, came in fourth, Zach Calvert, 51, eighth, and Tanner Bergseng shot 76 in his first ever match appearance.
The Mules moved their season record to 11-2 and their next match is home at Skyline Golf Course this afternoon (Thursday).
